Char B1 Bis
« on: February 10, 2019, 11:41:39 AM »
Hi gents,

A tank I finished painting this weekend! I bought it after (re)discovering a few blisters of WW2 French in my lead stash.
I experimented a bit with oilpaints and pigments for the weathering!

I hope you like it, a few french troops to follow shortly!

Cheers

Great work. Camouflage and weathering turned out a treat - is it 28mm, and if so, which manufacturer?

Oh I forgot to add the information: 28mm scale, Warlord Games / Italeri

Great, thanks - I've been looking at getting one of those for an Arnheim game, but wasn't quite sure how it'd turn out.

Nicely painted and weathered. Bit too much of the mad chipper’s disease for my tastes but beyond that looking good.

Thanks gents!

So how did you find the kit build?

Really straight forward! A lot of things are done the right way, some parts of the instruction are not perfectly clear and some parts are tiny tiny. But it was fun and rather quick to put together! The kit gives great options too for Beutepanzer (flamethrower and tank), a few nice poses for the commander...

I replaced the original antenna with a bristle of a hand sweeper.

Would recommend the kit!

Looks great.  If I remember right, that’s a pretty big model.  Any minis you can put in a photo for scale comparison?
