Fantasy Gallery - Update: April 15
« on: February 15, 2019, 10:08:17 PM »
Hey everyone! I'm pretty late to the LAF party. I'd love to show off my favourite photos from my collection. About 3 years ago I stopped collecting "armies", and started building a bestiary/fantasy world. Sometimes I like to embellish my photos in Photoshop. Anyway, I guess this is me saying Hi! Thanks for looking.

Welcome!

and don't worry, you are just in time!

Dude, you can paint!... And your photoshop skillset must be pretty impressive too!  I am glad you made the switch from Armies to Fantasy vignettes.

What have you been working on recently?

Looks like your village is an exciting (if dangerous) place to live! My favourite terrain piece is the broken down tower.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Fabulous Monsters! Those forests are made all the spookier! Property must be cheap in that part of the Empire!

Some of these are gorgeous. Love the carmine dragon and the cthulhu inspired monster.

Thank you guys for all of the validation and kind words everyone! :) All these years and no action on the blog, one post here and so much action! It's really cool to jump into this awesome & active (and mature) community.

Revfan asked me what I've been working on lately. Thanks for the question buddy! It just so happens that I've finished 5 more villagers for my collection. I've also started a fairly large terrain undertaking (commission). Here they are:

Dirty Skirt Lady

Holy Knight

His Squire

Exotic Potion Merchant

Elf Minstrel

And the terrain stuff. I decided to break out some Vallejo pigments to tackle the Dreadstone. I'm quite happy with where it's headed. The less colourful Garden of Morr is for a client, but the other one is mine. His project inspired me to put mine onto MDF as well and I think it's well worth it. When the set is loose I hardly ever bother with it. Plus it gives me an excuse to break out the static grass applicator.

The oblong piece with the weird wall is also a personal piece. It's been collecting dust on a shelf for a couple months now so it's nice to make some progress on it. It will be a campsite featuring a roaring campfire.

After sitting on the parts for this conversion, I finally decided to throw him together today. He's a Patron Saint of some kind... a simple Perry head swap seems to be pretty effective.
