Perhaps of more interest to RPG folks than tabletop wargamers but still an interesting Kickstarter I just came across. My wife loves the first edition books, we are only missing the main rule book, and it looks like we will be backing this one rather than continue trying to source an inexpensive first edition main rule book.

The kickstarter is flying, Middle Earth based RPGs seem to have an inexhaustible appeal.

1st ed Core books may start appearing more frequently when this one goes through as there are some concerns over backwards compatibility with the Cubicle 7 stuff.
Not my thing (an old school MERP fan) so I don't know the details but probably worth asking on the KS campaign for a definitive yes or no.
The big map does look amazing though.

I read on the KS the old One Ring stuff will be compatible with some tweaking.

I have the first edition. The binding ripped on the book so Amazon sent me another... and the binding ripped on that too! Was a fun system. I’ll be checking this one out.

Looks nice and yes seems very popular.

and yes there is a comment on the ks page about minor tweakings.

I also have a healthy collection of MERP and also  happy with that, so as gorgeous and interesting as it looks, not for me.

But yes that map looks nice damnit
