Painted up another 40k robot. Although not part of this group I thought this thread was close enough. He's made with the body of an old Space Ork tinboy and the head from the recent Gellerpox mutants from the Kill Team Rogue Trader box. I added some lenses with putty to give him a little more character.

I've painted up another member of my robot gang. A "Junker" class assault droid based on an old Epic 40k Squire Knight. Arms and guns from the Necron and Ork range.

Just brilliant, how did I miss this thread? The robo-conversions are great and the painting faultless (as expected from NickP) but it's the little touches I love. The way the eyes all have a different sort of light and character in them, the way the bases show an overgrown urban environment, hinting at post-apoc settings. Lovely.
'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

Many thanks, Cubs.

Here's yet another member of the robot group. The paintjob was inspired by old WW2 fighter planes, but I realized afterwards that the colours are quite similar to the old Lotus colours of British racing green and yellow.

Cheers : )

Thought I'd post a pic of the whole robo-team. I'm working on a new one and got plans for a couple more. The challenge is to keep each one distinct but also fit within the group.

Those all look great together, given the wide variety of sources for the components. Excellent group of robots!
