I need help with scenario ideas for an upcoming 3-4 player BoB game please.
I am looking for some side story/plot twists to avoid a set piece 'line them up and go for it' type battle, as well as getting recent additions to my collection on the table for the first time. Trouble is, my creative juices just aren't flowing, which may mean I used up all my good ideas last time out
Anyway, I have reasonably evenly matched forces for Reds, Whites and Chinese Warlord (inf, cav, MG, artillery, armoured vehicles) to work with plus the startings of a much smaller British/Indian intervention force, units of Mongol cavalry (for when the Whites are followers of the Mad Baron), a group of Chinese bandits and finally the usual Copplestone crowd of adventurers, archaeologists, foreign advisers etc.
The table can be up to 10ft x 6ft and the terrain needs to be desert, as I have some adobe type houses and palm trees I want to use as well as a city wall with corner towers and a gate house (courtesy of Tablescape). That nice chap Rob Anderson (Northumbrian Painting Service) has just made me a fully armoured train out of a pound shop set, and come what may that is getting used!
I need a minimum of three sides (one each for the other players), and am happy to run the game as a non- playing umpire if needs be. The default option would be Whites and British defend the city from a Bolo attack supported by the train (possibly with the British coming on late as a relieving force) but I am hoping to do better than that!
If anyone has some brainwaves they are happy to share to spice the game up it would be a real help.
