The finished ruins look fantastic.

Well done.

Thx guys :)

Superb work my friend.
Might I suggest a texture roller ? To add further detail .

You might want to clarify this, cause I have no idea what you mean?

No problem mate,
Look up Green Stuff World texture rollers.
Though these are designed for putty they can be used on foam. The down side is that you need to use some force to press the detail into foam.

Ah those. The results I've seen are rather mediocre at best as they are simply not cut deep enough to work properly on foam, even with a lot of pressure. I've been looking into them for making Stalingrad ruins and the commercially available stuff, right now, does not cut it. But I'm waiting for a few releases over the summer that should do the trick as those are designed from the ground up to work with foam....as there is no way in hell I want to do individual 20mm scaled brickwork from the ground up. I'm not that mental.

New stuff from Green stuff world? Didn't know that .. good to know, thanks.
Of course you'd be mental to do that.... hold on , we're gamers .. we're all mental already  ;).

But you could make some from putty or card or plaster of paris + white cement or some other material & stick them on.

Here are some ideas which you might find useful

No, not from Greenstuff World, not that I know of anyway. Other, smaller companies I talk to, but those are still trials and may not even be released.

Yeah, drawing and pushing a pencil etc over foam doesn't work for me, any downward pressure on my wrists is a big nono, and I can barely hold a pen for a minute or so, so this too would take forever. For my high fantasy stuff I prefer the loose block on a styrofoam core method.  Lightweight, quick to build, can work till I am too tired. But lots more in the pipeline.

And the next lot of ruined bits is underway....with a few experiments.

That latest archway must be one of your best works yet.
Love the way you did the stones for the arch, you fitted them like clockwork.

Keep it up
