Land Army - Now with trac-ur!
« on: February 27, 2019, 01:57:07 PM »
Hello!

We've teamed up with Sarissa to bring you this incredible tractor to go with the Land Army we manufacture, so there's various bundles.

Also an excuse if you haven't seen them before, to check out our land army!

Sculpted by Alan Marsh and shown painted by Andrew Taylor.

They're some of my favourite minis, the poses are character are spot on. Especially the lady stopping work to peer upwards.

We've got some more team ups with Sarissa coming, as well as our own releases of home front minis and various equipment.

Cheers for reading!

Lovely Idea I'd love to see a driver for the tractor. I bought some of the land girls for my son. He also spirited away the thresher I made.

Which brings me to my other musing Get them to make you a thresher 80% of the parts have nets already in other ranges so it'd be little more than a days work to knock up the nets for the remainder.

Mark.

My mother served in the Land Army during the war, so these have a special relevance to me.

Most importantly - thank you for treating the subject matter with taste.
Enjoying the game is ALWAYS more important than winning the game.

Thanks so much! I grew up in a village that was mostly older women who had been in the land army in their youth, including my nan, so it's something I've wanted to do for a while. We've got a field medic and some women's home defence in the range, and currently working on some ATS for Salute!

Looks like I'll be buying the ATS in five weeks time 😊

Great to see more of these. Your Home Front women have already started to fill a sorely needed gap, not just for WWII, but adding to the pool of period figures for Interwar games of all sorts.

Not that there were not women figures at all previously, but many of them were or are attached to gangster ranges or other games set in the 20's and thus have the very distinct cloche hats and such of the decade. I ended up converting quite a few just to have a balance of civilians, so your figure will be a welcome relief to those without the patience to push putty and carefully twiddle with headswaps or 28mm dressmaking.  lol
