Steel for humans, Silver for monsters...
« on: February 27, 2019, 03:17:14 PM »
I just finished painting up this Brother Vinni monster hunter miniature who bears an uncanny resemblance to Gwynbleidd himself. He was a joy to paint. One day I plan to play some games set in the world of the Witcher, but for now he’ll be my ranger for Rangers of Shadowdeep.

That looks great. 8)

The mini is well painted; I like the subdued colours, but the blending in of the base with the terrain is just excellent! In fact, the entire background is superb.

Is that just a piece of background for photography, or is it part of an entire table? if the latter, that must truly be a joy to game on...
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thanks very much. I think I probably get more comments about the background than any other lol , which is a great compliment. I am very pleased with how it turned out. For now it’s just a little backdrop for taking photos but one day I hope to make a small gaming table in the same style for Mordheim.

Cracking job on the Witcher, hows he scale up with other fantasy ranges?

Is it me, or does he look vaguely like Sean Connery in Highlander ?

I know this is a old thread but i realy have to say that this is such an wonderfull paint job you did on our beloved White Wolf and those background looks phenomenal as well.

Did you made more "Gwynbleidd"-related stuff?
I plan to use this model for Rangers of Shadow Deep too and wonder if you have some more pictures?  :)
Brother Vinni, the sculptor of this miniature, has two Ladies from the very same universe in his shop. Did you paint those too?

Sorry for all those questionsbut i am pretty hyped that i found this thread and saw hat you'd have the same idea as i :)

Thank you for the kind words. I do have the Ciri model and another Geralt to paint. I will be ordering Triss soon. I don’t have any more pics of Geralt at the moment but can take some when I get Ciri painted up.

Would be awesome :)
Looking forward to see way more pictures.

Did you play some rounds of RoSD with him? How did you skill and equip him to be the most witcher-like?

Looking great!

My instance of that mini just arrived.  He's primed but not painted.

Nice looking figure in a great pic. Good stuff all 'round.
