I've no idea if its got a real counterpart . As I'm genuinely making it up as I plod a long.

Cheers ,
I was toying with idea of making it a 'Swiss army knife' of plane. In so far as it having a separate set of ski's and floats.
That the wheels would slot into.
I suspect that getting sidetracked with retractable wheel bays . That I may have buggered up that concept. As I'm not sure they'd look right once you add floats , ski's would probably still look plausible though.
Planes aren't something I know much about. So I might just make both of them .Simply to see if its workable concept for the tabletop.Rather than worry about the aesthetic .plus I can always make a plane to fit the floats so they dont goto waste    lol
What I actually need to make is Crashed plane and another surfaced submarine .

Aesthetic is looking pretty spiffy from here...

Cheers,
But it's proved a bit of a white elephant. As the wing joints aren't strong enough. Since I originally intended it to be on floats so the wings would have been supported. But I got sidetracked with the engines totally forgetting that I'd not
pinned the wings on. Now it's been recycled as a crashed/wreaked plane.
That's the joy of working on a model late at night!

If you had not mentioned cereal boxes involved in this, I would've taken those for resin models. Amazing talent!  :o

lol no they really are just card and cocktail sticks.
Here's a couple of pics of it around 80% done . As it was used for a run through of Rich H's rules(or would have been if it had been found in the game ::) )
It's still in need of props and some more vegetation( other than mixed hurbs ).
The Autogyro is still in its undercoat as I've lost my mojo for painting blues.
Also just for fun here's one of my favorite builds all card , plus a kebab stick for a flight stand, and the obligatory cocktail stick for machine guns.

WOW! Those aircraft look great! I Salute You Sir!  :o

This post has convinced me that my thoughts to scratch build some aircraft IS a good idea just going to do it in 15mm scale.  :)

The crashed plane looks really good, a perfect encounter or plot point or objective marker, whatever you want to call it, this would work well.
Very impressive card modelling.
Thanks for posting it

Cheers ,
They've been a fun way to fill an evening. The crashed plane has had its first outing .I managed to shoot myself in the foot with it thought ,as it became the focus for several players rather than a single plot point.Totally throwing the game off course.
War monkey. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Mark.

Now next project a Civillian train or Trampsteamer ( I've a swiss army knife of Steamer already . and an Armoured train.so neither are a big leap. I've just not made my mind up on either.)

Tinkered around with cereal boxes and didn't come out too well, 15mm is pretty small for this size of project, but I could shape wood dowels to the size and shape I need then with my very fine wood burner I could burn in the panels and other details or add heavy paper Panels and details as well. Will take a little work but I really think the results will be great, I work with wood much better.
