An Optimistic Tragedy (Makhno p. 1)
« on: March 05, 2019, 08:31:41 PM »
I finally started painting my BoB/RCW stuff I've been collecting for over a decade. Mostly Copplestone but also quite some figures from Brigade Games, by Mike Owen and Mark Simms.
At the time postage from the US was relatively affordable and exchange rates acceptable. I really should've bought more as both Great War and the 'Storm in the East' ranges are really nice.

Here's Brigade's Whippet tank. None of that lasercut mdf or autocad 3D prints but a very decent resin cast of a hand made model. [edit: added a better pic]

Next up the infamous Black Army of Nestor Makhno. If I manage to keep focus that is.

Here are the Makhnovshchina. Nestor Makhno, Fjodor Schuss and allied Black Guard commander Maria 'Marusya' Nikiforova.

Also an Italian Lancia armoured car being inspected by the nefarious Rasputin.

Superb work. Looks like one of the period photographs brought to life!
