King Kong Proxy UPDATE 14th May Painted
« on: March 11, 2019, 06:00:02 PM »
Anyone used this fella as a proxy for the big guy?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00V8IX65Y?pf_rd_p=71cb17e9-f468-4d3f-94d5-a0de44c50a7e&pf_rd_r=6RJX3P7B57QH2K163SV1

Seems to be a fair size, and is more fierce than the Schleich & Papo  toys. Not as big as the Safari toy but price is good!

Twas not beauty killed the beast, for hard moulded plastic is immune. Great thread and good looking game. What is more pulp than Skull Island adventures?

Now that Figure is really nice.

But I got this one from Reaper a while ago. Metal and more expensive. So I would get the toy one now.

Besides mine is more a Mighty Joe Young style and size.

I have considered getting one of these bad boys. Twice the price of my first choice but definitely got the Kong effect:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ocamo-Animals-Simulation-Chimpanzee-Collectible/dp/B07CXJPWSG/ref=pd_sbs_21_12?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07CXJPWSG&pd_rd_r=53cd582f-45c9-11e9-b69e-bd6f2b4d54b3&pd_rd_w=WjXUF&pd_rd_wg=ZN1OC&pf_rd_p=18edf98b-139a-41ee-bb40-d725dd59d1d3&pf_rd_r=Z0ZW1CA1SNA290TVWABT&psc=1&refRID=Z0ZW1CA1SNA290TVWABT

I saw him as an option on Amazon. The price looks decent and is about half of what my Reaper mini one would cost now.
Looks fairly big and well detailed. But I like to see them in the "Flesh" or plastic in this case.

Hopefully someone has. I would try the Toy's R Us near me. But I am not sure whether they still trade in the UK.
Besides it is a bus ride away for me.

I wonder if anyone on Ebay has a size comparison for it. Like with a rule or something else to give a size comparison.

Off to Ebay!

I think the Reaper one is available in the Bones range now? Could be wrong...
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

No, there's an Ape Demon and a Chronoscope Ape-X.

Toys R Us are no more in the UK AFAIK, and I've only seen the Papo & Schleich one in the toy shops we do have.

The chest beating ape stands around 20cm apparently.
