3d printed 40K / necro battle mat tiles test piece
« on: March 14, 2019, 10:08:36 PM »
I have recently bought a 3d printer with an eye to make cool 40K terrain. These are the 1st bits I am happy (ish) to post. I am to print a 6' x4' gaming 'mat' and then built up from there. I am wearing my flameproof trousers so flame away! :)

Not intended as a flame as there is a lot to like on the mat. I am not sure though that the pavers work well with the high tech panels.  I would probably use less of the brick like pavers panels.  Maybe some panels with recessed gutters or pipes running portions of the matt?

o yes, they are a lot of panels with exposed pipework in the works, the paths are hard to see in the pic but are metal plates with rivets. But that your post showed me that they do need to be printed better, dry brushed with silver over the flat rust at a min, thank you :)

Ah.  That probably would be more obvious in person.  Look forward to seeing  the new panels.  3D printing of terrain has so much potential.

Looks good to me.  That really brings out the different textures you have.  How much spool/time does that take?
