XV century bombard
« on: March 19, 2019, 03:40:27 PM »
I found these lovely foundry chaps and their bombard in one of the boxes of primed miniatures (downside of going back and forth from two countries, sometime I start a project have to go away, forgot that the project has started and the miniatures had been primed...). Thus I decided to reduce the amount of primed white metal and convert them in painteed white metal! I also tried a round base instead of my usual rectangular ones.  Considering I did everything yesterday morning and today I painted the base... well I am satisfied.

It will be a nice objective for Lion Rampant scenarios, or something more dangerous (for the enemy or for its owner it is still to determine!).  I really like the master gunner figure.

Lovely and useful little piece
😀
Been playing with toy soldiers since the mid 70s.  Not planning to grow up any time soon.

Thanks to all  :)

when I starter 28mm medievals I had this big hoard of Foundry ones, painted aplenty, but still have some left over. I say it is good, because my painting skills have improved in the last 20 years!

Sometime I even simply repaint the old ones... surprisingly it works quite well...
