VERY CHEAP!I have built some cheap huts for the next Congo game. These are made from a sturdy cardboard ring with some putty on the inside and the outside. That ring is glued on an old CD/CR-ROM with some sand on it.
Detachable roofs are made from a cardboard cone with cut off bristles glued on top (soaked with white glue) and a paper ring glued on the bottom for stiffness and centering. (The new brush cost me less than 2€ in the DIY store and will make a dozen roofs.)
Perfect for native 28mm families (I admit they are large, but you could make smaller ones using this method as well).
