Nice work - why the 76mm versus a Firefly?

Nice work! I like the colors, what did you use and how did you paint them. I am having a bear of a time getting my US vehicles to look right and make me happy.

Also i like the basing on the tanks. Do you prefer to base them? I have been having a debate with myself as to whether to base mine or not. The 1/56 tanks look more in scale next to infantry when they are based. And what did you use. how did you paint the bases?
thanks

It is Humbrol Olive Drab 155 spray.
Then drybrushed humbrol olive drab mixed 75/25% drab and Vallejo Iraqi sand.
Then 50/50%.
Then shaded and some streaks added with Army Painter Light brown and dark brown washes.
Tracks and any black are just vallejo black grey drybrushed 50/50 black grey mixed vallejo luftwaffe uniform then straight luftwaffe uniform and washed foundry dark brown leather wash.

I do prefer basing personally.
I use 3mm laser cut MDF bases (60×120mm for these) as i prefer the look of something under the model and raises them up to match the infantry on 2mm bases.
And it's just an earthy grey brown colour drybrushed a sandy colour and a cream.
The bushes are bits of sponge and of course flock

Nicely done, I've yet to pick up any of the rubicon kits but I will have to see about rectifiing that.

I highly recommend them.
Just be sure you have Tamiya Extra Thin cement. The plastic is tougher.

I've mainly got Warlord and tamiya stuff for ww2, the tamiya stuff appeals to the modeler in me despite it being a different scale.

If you are using Warlord figures, the Tamiya 1/48 scale armour is a better match scale wise

One (of many) great things about Rubicon is they publish the instructions on their forum.
http://forum.rubiconmodels.com/index.php?board=5.0
So you can see how they go together.

Their resins are better quality than some plastic kits.
