I have no use for the background you posted, but I'll bey trawling ebay for a photobackground that looks like an ocean :)

Thanks for sharing, I'd never have thought to look for photobackgrounds/backdrops otherwise :)

Very much like those :)

I havent decided on wether a turquoise/caribbean colour or a darker blue will be best.
Although at these prices one of each is quite feasible. Ordered seperately of course to be under the minimum amount of the vigorus danish customs people

Oh EXCELLENT suggestion!

Never thought of anything like this. Just ordered a "cement grey" one that'll be awesome for lunar gaming with Amera plastic craters scattered on it.

I'll keep an eye out for other ones.

Thank you!!

Hope it helps!  And, if this really catches on, I hope that some people remember where they heard it first.  :)

Would this next one work for the toxic surface of an alien planet, if the bottom portion were removed?

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve ordered one with a brown / desert print.

I’m interested to see what the finish is as they all seem to be described as cloth and vinyl

The mat arrived today, so less than a week from ordering.

It’s certainly very thin, it is cloth despite the vinyl in the name. The print quality isn’t great close up, but on a table it will look fine, there is a 1cm or so white boarder around the edges, which I’m not sure will be noticed when playing. The surface has a slight tackiness to it.

Certainly a cheap way of getting a decent sized table coverings, the Deep cut mat is much better, but is 10x the price. I think these would be good for giving character to games which are played less often.

Got a picture Fred? Really curious how these look in real life. The typical eBay pictures don't tell anything about the actual product.

Sure, looks like it would work for several kinds of sci-fi gaming. But first and foremost it got me thinking of searching ebay for photo backgrounds. :D

Oh! Like WOW man!
We've been looking at this all wrong.
We could use them as.... backgrounds for (our) photos!!!!

Seriously I had not thought of that.
I was even planning to spray a sheet of hardboard to look like sky...Doh!
