Hi all.

I've been known to make a concerted effort to paint (or in some cases repaint) some classic, old-school fantasy miniatures from time to time. These are the miniatures that first got me into this hobby, and they are much beloved by me. Perhaps by starting this thread will motivate me to paint more.

I'll start off with some classic Grenadier wizards. I repainted these guys back in 2016.

Thanks! I love these old AD&D Grenadier boxes. I painted this one up in 2017...

Some classic Grenadier Halflings.

My favorite is the two-man lookout team.

Great stuff!

The charm of these old Grenadier miniatures is considerable - and you've really done them justice!

They’re indeed cute and full of character! In my formative years I tended to neglect them because of the new and shiny Fantasy Warriors line with Copplestone sculpts, but these have a unique charm.

I love 'em! Well done.  :-*  If you haven't seen it already, you may like this thread here where there are a few of us sharing Grenadier Gold Line stuff: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=81989.msg1441178#msg1441178

Classic stuff. And some of them fondly familiar.

Spooktalker: Thanks for the link! I'm kind of new to LAF, so I was unaware of it. There's some mighty fine work on that thread...puts my efforts to shame! I love the Gold Line...but I can never find out the name of the sculptor. Do you know?

This time I decided to go with an old RAFM ogre. I'm pretty sure they don't make this particular model anymore, but there is still a variation of him on RAFM's site. I've had him for decades, but I only painted him in December after he languished in my "side pile" for over 8 years! It felt good to finally put some paint on him!

An old RAFM wizard riding a cart. I painted him for "WizarDecember" a few years back.
