Fabulous looking bunch.  Quite different to their Waterloo descendants.  Really like the standard.

Is there a story to the accompanying pooch?

Is there a story to the accompanying pooch?

Captain Villemeur was an enthusiastic hunter with horse and hound, so he always takes one of his favorite pooches with him on campaign.

Thanks for the info on the dog. Interesting that it wasn’t just Prince Rupert who took his dog with him  :)

Wonderful cottage. Love the texture and details on the roof and walls.

Just found this thread. I love the painting and terrain modifications. But...……..I hate you guys who do this stuff to periods I WAS NOT interested in. Until looking at the gorgeous eye candy y'all put on here. Must resist...…

Awesome thread. Will continue to watch. And try to appreciate without buying.

Great job.

Nick, where did you get that awesome ship? I don't really need one, but it would be a nice addition to my unneeded navy.

Danish Foot Regiment Funen/Fynske

It was one of the oldest regiments in the Danish army and could trace its history back to 1614 when it was raised under the name Fynske Fenle Knægte af Jydske Regiment Landsfolk.

Duke of York and Albany's Maritime Regiment of Foot

The 'first official' unit of English naval infantry, originally called the Duke of York and Albany's Maritime Regiment of Foot and soon becoming known as the Admiral's Regiment, was formed on 28 October 1664, with an initial strength of 1,200 infantrymen recruited from the Trained Bands of London as part of the mobilisation for the Second Anglo-Dutch War. James (later King James VII & II), the Duke of York and Albany, Lord High Admiral and brother of King Charles II, was Captain-General of the Artillery Company, now the Honorable Artillery Company, the unit that trained the Trained Bands.
