That command stand is a mini piece of art. The figures are all arranged perfectly.

+1!  :-*

Very nice diorama!! I really like the combination of miniatures  :)

p.d. I would have painted the officer's sash in red (Spanish service) rather than white which is more French imho.

Cheers!

Thanks for the tip buddy!!!

William III, also widely known as William of Orange, was sovereign Prince of Orange from birth, Stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Guelders and Overijssel in the Dutch Republic from the 1670s and King of England, Ireland and Scotland from 1689 until his death.

Fabulous. Like impressionist oil paintings. Great use of the 1672 civilian pack  :-*

All for one and one for all. French King's Musketeer characters for the Dutch/Franco Wars. I also have a set for the Cardinal's Guard. These will make for some interesting side plots to the mass battle games.

I seem to remember a participation game based on the 4 Musketeers holding
an advanced position (ruined house) during a siege. Players were the Musketeers
and could do many actions (load, aim, fire etc) BUT had to eat a cracker after each one.
No drinking allowed. It got very frantic as the Huguenots got closer & closer.
Have you ever tried eating more than two crackers without a drink?

lovely matt, heavy-shaded style. A classic look which is still hard to beat  :-*

have you ever taken any pics of full table set-ups, showcasing all the wonderful scenic pieces detailed in this thread?

would love to see them if so  :-*
