Kicking around some new Solo/Co-op game rules: working title is ‘Whiteout’
Initially aimed at ‘Polar’ but adaptable to other areas. Sort of 1950’s ish but non-era-specific.
It’s a mix of dungeon-crawler and a bit of RPG. Trying to keep your group alive and achieve your mission as the enemy and the local environment tries to kill you.
Couple of bits still to finish before it’s test-worthy and we’ve not tried it yet (due to boring stuff like work and families) but it’s nearly there.
Main concepts are 12” line of sight at all times (due to the whiteout), a randomly generated table revealed as you go, randomly generated encounters varying from nothing to walking into a firefight and a survival aspect managing your supplies and carrying capacity.
The party consists of 3-6 members and it uses fate/fortune dice to get things done.
Co-op there is also the choice for secret personal missions to allow for a bit of double cross.
It’s at a very early stage at the moment but I’m looking for a couple of volunteers to give it a read through and maybe try it out.
Deal is:
PM me and I’ll send you a copy of the rules
You read them through and give feedback (Direct feedback appreciated – don’t worry about upsetting me if they are awful!).
You agree not to discuss the details of the rules with anyone else but feel free to discuss the rules in general (so you can post game reports if it gets that far etc.)
I’ll be credit you as a play-tester
It’s non-commercial so there will be no money in it for anyone!
Plan is to publish them for free - just a bit of fun.
Anyone up to the challenge?
Ta
