I've been playing around with making a tabletop for a game set below the metro concourse in the subway tunnels.  I hit upon this.  Using tracks from my son in law's childhood lego collection as the basis, I made some side walls for a closed in feeling out of foam core, and used toilet tissue rolls as supports/columns.  I added what scatter I thought appropriate.  we shall see how it plays in a game.
