Hungarians Tank added 27th April 2019
« on: April 13, 2019, 04:38:54 PM »
Having recently purchased the Fortress Budapest Book, the next obvious step was to start putting together a Hungarian force. Here aware a couple of models so far. The first is a conversion from some Warlord Games figures, the sniper is from Great Escape Games. More to come. If you would like to see more you can see more on my blog: https://marctgames.wordpress.com/2019/04/13/hungarians/

Do the 3 bricks on each base mean anything in particular - like which group they belong to?  I've seen that done in other games to easily identify groups without having to pick up figures and check under bases etc.

No, the bricks are just to break up the grey rubble on the base. They probably need more on the base but I am putting them into a tournament on Saturday so it is a bit of a rush job.

Looking great, nice to see some good photos of the warlord Hungarians as the pictures on their site look pretty bad.

Your figures look pretty good!  Curious on the figures in one pic having arm bands?

I have two Warlord boxes + command standing by until the Dogtag Minis Kickstarter ships out.  Looking for various uniform options.

Thanks.

Thank you for your kind comments. The arm band men are from Offensive Miniatures. They are their pack of EGVK907 Volkssturm 3. They are slighter than the Warlord figures so I thought would fit in well with university students.

Always good to see some Hungarian infantry and as an added bonus I found out about Dogtag minis, which I will forget about for a few years now. :D

Here is a tank that I purchased from Paint and Glue Miniatures. It is a 3D printed model. It is a Turan II. The detail on the model is good. The finish is not as smooth as perhaps resin or plastic kits. However, the price is about a third of what you would normally pay. I think this cost me £7.50. So it is very good value. Paint and Glue miniatures seem to her several more obscure vehicles that will be useful.
