How should I paint feathers headdress of Lost Tribes? What colors?

I have converted those 1:72/20 mm figures using soldering iron into african/polynesian/southamerican Lost Tribe. Question: How should I paint feathers headdress?

The short answer is: whatever color you want!  :D

If you google exotic birds, or exotic bird feathers, you should get a wealth of ideas.
