A Rising Sun painting log
« on: April 20, 2019, 08:42:18 AM »
Hi all

A few months ago I discovered Rising Sun, one of CMON's big, beautifully produced Kickstarter game. While I had missed the Kickstarter, I was so taken by the amazing miniatures that I took the plunge and bought the retail version, accepting that, even if I didn't play the game much (I still haven't yet...) painting the miniatures would be so much fun that it was a worthwhile project anyway.

I'm currently working through the 5 core-box clans, starting with the Turtle Clan (as they are aesthetically, my least favourite clan). Each clan contains 6 Bushi (basic warriors) in 2 different sculpts, 3 Shinto (holy warriors that can worship the Kami), and 1 Daimyo (your leader):

Bushi:

Shinto:

Daimyo:

More musings on colour schemes, as well as further photos, can be found here on my blog: http://whyarecarrots.blogspot.com/2019/04/rising-sun-turtle-clan.html

Thanks for looking!

Up next from the painting table is the Koi Clan, much brighter and more vibrant than the Turtle Clan, so a very different clan to paint:

Bushi:

Shinto:

Daimyo:
