So as I'm getting close to actually being able to have a battle... I realized I'm missing basic terrain such as rock formations for cover. So I decided I'd try out the foam rocks that everybody's raving about... this is my first time so I think they'll get better with practice.

He's huge! I'd not seen the giant scabbard on his back before!

Excellent paintwork too, can I ask how you did his hair?

Sure thing, black base followed by a dry brush of cloudy grey, then a dry brush of desert sand followed by a light highlight of desert sand mixed with some white... all my paints are Vallejo or Reaper.

2 new things in this picture... 3d printed ruined steps... which also look like the perfect steps to stage a fight between the hound and the mountain! And Sir Robb Stark.

I don’t really love these CMON figures - too romantic fantasy stylee for my vision of Westeros (which is less baroque and more down and dirty medieval). But I do love your paintwork on them. Great job. And the rocky outcrops are very nicely done too.  8)

These finished up printing yesterday (crypt, small house and walls).... threw on my new formula for stone buildings last night... goes quick. I have about 15 mins in each house and a minute per section of wall.. I want to be able to have a decent town in the middle of a battle... what's war without innocent bystanders...

That 3d printed stuff looks good. Seeing all the fun printable scenery out there will end up being the death of me. There is no way I make it to 2020 without a printer of my own.

I haven't turned my printer off in 3 months... it goes non-stop... i have a Winterfell print coming up that is 30! individual prints... each one is 9 - 25 hrs long... IT'S MASSIVE... i'm getting my mind ready for that one.... getting lots of smaller prints out of the way first. You'll love it once it gets dialed in.
