We’re going to need a bigger boat!
Love the scale of that, proper Mythos.

"Every year, we at the Shoggoth's Trust, take in
dozens
several
at least one Shoggoth cruelly abandoned by thoughtless cultists and left to roam untended, unloved an unfed.
Could you provide a stable home for Shep? He's a charming chap some
55'
120'
35' long and about
50
45
60
tons. Playful and loyal, Shep loves to play fetch, and if he brings you the head of an Elder Thing, well it's just that he likes you!
Remember, a Shoggoth's not just for Dagonmas."
Finished Shep the other day, didn't add pseudopods in the end as I figured that transporting it would be tricky enough, and they'd probably snap off - plus I rather like the rolling wave look. (The WIP 1/56 Lanchester armoured car's there for scale)

Amazingly good, Matt. What a great piece of modelling and painting
The Lanchester looks rather tasty too

Cheers Richard, it was fun to make. The Lanchester is a nice model (Empress - one of the molds they acquired from another manufacturer, I can't remember who), but does require a few tweaks:
The turret was too short, and needed a 1mm plasticard shim, its hatch was clearly too small, but was easy to fix, and the lower parts of the hull sides lacked detail. Luckily there's an excellent recent 1/35 scale model of this vehicle (by Copper State), which shows what should be there - a number of seams, riveted plates, stowage, and a bucket in a bent metal holder. All of these were pretty easy fixes with various gauges of styrene sheet. I hope to finish it (it's about half done) soon, and will post pics once complete.

That is quite the fugly shoggoth you've created, sir. And quite the scale implied by "At the Mountains of Madness."

Cheers sglancy12, I'm rather looking forward to springing it on the unsuspecting (unless they're reading this) group. I thought I might put my (perfectly nice) CP Models Shoggoth on the table before going:" hang on, that's not a Shoggoth, THIS is a Shoggoth!"
Given how quickly they can move, (compared to a man of foot) I'm hoping to see a Model T - Shoggoth car chase, figers crossed the party have figured out improvised explosives

Better late than never (just seen it now) - best shoggoth I've seen (not that many people live to see a second one).
