Western Town Chapter Two
« on: May 05, 2019, 09:28:02 AM »
t's late afternoon in Patterson, Iowa. The street is still crowded with people coming and going.

Marshall Nick Versteeg casts a watchful eye on the stranger who has just ridden into town.   Stable boy, Greg Liska, asks the stranger if he wants his horse groomed and fed. Two Gun Beau Cunnyngham steps out of the Saloon and recognizes the stranger. He doesn't like what he sees.    Prospector Tom Terry is having a hard time getting his mule "Sara" to move. His partner and guide, Tim Geppert, tries to keep a straight face while Tom begs, pleads and yanks on Sara's rope. But they don't say "stubborn as a mule" for no reason. Well's Fargo guard Mark Harris keeps on rockin', while  Two Gun Beau never shifts his gaze from the stranger.   As dusk settles into the town, the Stengel family heads out to their ranch. John and Irene have filled their wagon with supplies and John Jr. guides the oxen homeward. The Delsons, Jamie and Jenny, ride up to the General Store.Delson owns the largest spread around these parts and the store clerk, Tim Steinhoff, puts down his broom and hurries to wait on his most important customers. A street level view. A view of the middle of the town,Another view of the town. And finally a panorama from above. It's getting dark in Patterson. Could that be foreshadowing?
