Still chipping away at this...

Not happy with the turret still: I've now added the canvas cover clips to the turret face and reprinted the turret at double resolution (went from 2 hours to 5 hours...) just waiting for it to cure in the sun (ha - I'm in Lancashire)  then I can hit it with undercoat and get a proper look at it.

I'm going to be sending the prototypes off to empress for their opinion soon to ensure I've not made any major cockups...  then I can print the final final final version... :o

Odd, I’ve always thought of Lancashire as being an exotic locale. Now you’re telling us it’s nor replete with a sunny clime and palm trees swaying gently in the tropical breeze?

Judging by the temperatures in France this week, just give it a few years. Blackpool, the Acapulco of the North.*

Looking forward to seeing the completed product.

New turret is printed and, aside from a touch of Z wobble (I really need to fix that...) it's awesome.  There are viretually no lines at all and those that are visible are vertical not horizontal.  Basically the vertical resolution (0.02mm) is better than the horizontal (0.047mm).  But the undercoat has seen them off.  A touch of sanding on the Z-wobble lines and it's looking good.  The onyl bit that needs work is the turret edge as it's come out a bit soft - but that is easily fixed with miliput.

Going to send the prototype off to Empress for assessment for casting this week.

Bitten the bullet adn ordered a £100 upgrade to fix the z-wobble.
I could try to adjust it out but it will come back, this will eliminate it - plus it's a really solid looking bit of engineering.  (And shiney)

I have no idea how you are making this model but I can't wait to see the end result and get my hands on one (or maybe two). Keep at it!

I think he uses magic, especially as he keeps coming up with other projects.

I simply pile stuff up and remove the bits that aren't tank.
