Wow the LVTP is one ugly lump! :o

I think to give me a break from curved things the Otter will be next.
It appears to have been designed by a child with a ruler. :-*

Admit it, you just want one for your Arctic madness. ;) It would look cool in DayGlo orange. Beware of complacency though, there’s a serious curve in the bow section.

The LVTP would also be a seriously heavy item in 1/50. We also know you would spend hours fretting about how to make the front ramp a working item. Of course, making it hollow would seriously ease the strain on shelves. Of course everything looks better with a fucking huge mine plow on the front. :D

The otter is pretty simple 2D curves ;)  But I'll find out!

Good grief!

If you put the back of that in your deployment zone, the plough will be in your opponent's!

Any chance of disclosing who you're sculpting these for?

Also, it'd be great to see the Urdan Cupola as used on the Israeli Magach series while you're working on the M48  :)

Rich, whilst you are at it, you might as well do the M-67 Zippo flamethrower version. There are just a few minor tweaks. Shorten the barrel/ flame tube a bit. Flatten the brush guards slightly for the front lghts and somewhere (I’ve never been able to make out exactly where) there’s some sort of filler cap in the turret under hang for the flame tank. Make the brush guards and barrel/ flame tube separate items and it’s essentially two kits for the price of one.

Sorry Splod - sworn to secrecy.  Urban cupola shouldn't be too hard.

Yep, Zippo is on the list, need to look for some details.

Looking good! The two semi-spheres on the turret sides should have little apertures on the front face. These are the coincidence range finders for the main gun.

The track pads aren’t right for this model of the M-48.  The T97 track has pronounced metal chevrons on the track pads.

Thusly:

Thanks - I wasn't sure which one to use.  I'll keep these and make a new version - it's actually pretty easy to change the tracks as they are all clones - change one and it changes all.  Note the links are actually made of 5 parts.  I didn't model the track pins though...

Yep turret is very much still WIP, lots of detail still to add.
Handrails were last night.  Turret basket is going to be 'interesting' to say the least.

First print of the tracks.
Couple of mistakes but generally good.

Nice.

Having just watched Full Metal Jacket, the request for an M41 (with dress up) just got bumped.
