Flesh Golems
« on: May 24, 2019, 07:51:44 PM »
I've been on a bit of a mission lately to finish off all the bits and bobs I have laying around. You know the type of thing, those odd miniatures you pick up as they look nice and never get around to painting as they're not part of anything bigger or don't fit into what you're painting.

Anyway, bought these two figures from Ral Partha Europe a while ago and they made it to the front of the queue. They're cracking little models, described as Flesh Golems. They're obviously the product of the mind of some sick and twisted scientist who has stitched bits of all sorts together to make a functioning monster. Loads of character and I  really enjoyed painting them.

The bare bottoms provided my children with much hilarity!

Those are quite nice models, way nicer than the store photos make them look. I think the varied flesh colours really sell these as the grab bag of bits they are.  :)

Thanks for the kind words. Shame they only make the two variants.

No baboon buttocks? ;) Bit of a missed chance there, but swell painting on unusual figures.

Did you add that tubing or do the figures come with it? I can't quite make it out in the shop images.

They're as they came, all the tubing and piping was on the models. They're  very well sculpted and cast.

Maybe I should offer the images to Ral Partha for use on their website!

You can get a few more poses/variants out of them by bending limbs and doing head, arm, and leg swaps.
