SkyNet forces *current limbo*
« on: June 21, 2009, 10:08:11 PM »
I began painting up a pile of robot/mechahumans I had lying around for a Terminator inspired setting we hope to be doing soon.

The family so far.

I fancy SkyNet would be making all sorts of different builds to see what was better.. And these represent early such builds.

Yes I believe it is Urban Mammoth. Synthes.

Still working on the above too. . I've ordered 18 EM4 skeletal robots to bulk out.

Jup, they are all Urban War Syntha miniatures. I like the general look of them. Nice and menacing!

Hehe silver on silver... but that's what it should be so far. Haven't gotten around to the arnolds yet.

I'm thinking about blackening the guns though... That would give a bit of much needed contrast. I think the guns that the robots use in Sarah Connors nightmare vision in T2 are black too?

Dark blue & black ink wahses would look very nice on these, add some weathering too and make the red eyes more like gems and you'll be onto a winner there

Heheh... I just played a Future Wars game yesterday where 8 T's completely wiped out the opposition. I'm also planning to use some synthas and old Warzone Cybertronics minis to expand the force....

I'll post a report with pics when I get time for it....

I had a bunch of Kryomek Talos units sitting around, and decided to use them as Terminators.
They call me "Point Cow"

I have to say looking at your pictures now I like the fire effect in the background, how did you achieve that?

Looks like a bit brush of thick paint, drybrushed onto the cottonwall - either way, very effective.

but the fire is so bright, when ever I've tried that, the cotton wool seems to end up bleaching the colour of going all soggy and imposible.
