15mm Japanese Project
« on: June 10, 2019, 04:56:14 PM »
With some of my free time I have been working on a 15mm Japanese project for myself.  Just something that I have been slowly working on since taking part in a Kick Starter late last year.  While working on cleaning up the models I got some Oshiro terrain.   Wonderful kits and they paint up rather nicely.

Thanks!  I am hoping to put another order in when I am done with painting these ones up.  Finished up a simple farm setting last night.

Not quite sure yet.  Would like to do a couple setups and maybe have some urban settings.  Any ideas or suggestions?

Working on a small hill with a Oni cave built into it and just got some more trees to build out some more forest areas.

A samurai house in a walled enclosure would be good. You could do an ornamental garden as well.

The hill and cave sounds interesting  :)

Got some work done today on a couple more pieces.  I do have the large samurai house that I am slowly working on the base for, mocking up some walls out of foamcore to get some ideas.

Sadly the new trees I picked up from my local hobby store are very different from the previous ones I had bought.  I may have to pull some of those out of the bases and mix them in.  Well see.  But I now have the Oni cave done just needs a coat of varnish and then flocking.  I even tried to do a little freehand paint on the stone right outside the entrance to the cave.  Hopefully the charactor I found actually means Oni, otherwise I maybe a little embarassed if I painted up the symbol for something like "carwax".

Beautiful job. Great care taken on each piece, with a lovely cohesive look to the whole table. Cracking!

Thanks guys!

I ordered up the newly released rules for Test of Honour and will see about using those for gaming on the table.  But my buddies have already suggested using the table for some gruntz gaming as well.

I managed to get the hill flocked and completed this weekend as well.  Plus the last picture is using my last two buildings from Oshiro's webstore.  Trying to figure out the best layout for it and what all I want to achieve with it.
