New WW1 Wargame being teased by Firelock games
« on: June 14, 2019, 03:14:24 AM »
Saw this teased recently and then this picture:

Has anyone got any more details? Would be good to see a new set of rules for the genre to spark some more interest.

Yes it's true! The rules go the printers this month. I know these guys they live about 30 miles from me. What a great group of people. I can't wait to see the rules set. We are actually playing a B&P game this month for our monthly club game.

The rules will be based on the Blood & Plunder rules. Here is a good preview article: https://nodicenoglory.com/2019/05/20/blood-and-valor-a-great-war-skirmish-game-from-firelock-games/

I’m happy to answer any question you may have :)

What would be good starting forces for East Africa? I have the miniatures but would like to start painting so when the rules are released I have two forces ready :D

thinking of:
British: 2 units of Britsh soldiers, 1 unit Askaris, officer and 1 HMG (also have Sikh's)
German: 1 unit of Schutztruppe, 2 units Askaris, officer and 1 HMG (also have some sailors)

How many miniatures would I need for a small starting force?
Are there also rules for banners/musicians?

That should work. HMG team and Officer are 3 man units. All other units are 4-12 man units.

Similar to Drunkendwarf's question - what would I need for the Western Front, say British and Germans?  And are there rules for specialist trench raiders (thinking of the Great War Minis German stormtroopers)?

Cheers!

Are there rules for cavalry?
