RCW in Contrast
« on: July 14, 2019, 08:54:46 PM »
Hello All,

With the release of the Citadel Contrast paints, I thought this could be a great option when tackling the Copplestone Russian infantry. With this in mind and not being very familiar with their colours, could some recommend what would be appropriate for the Red & White uniforms & potentially the greatcoats as well?

I think first you need to decide how colourful your units will be.

And then decide what colour you will undercoat them in.

Creed camo and militarism green are probably the closest to a military uniform.
Skeleton Horde and Aggaros Dunes would be your khakis.
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...

Thanks Johnno,

I was looking at these alongside the Templar Black (always worth having in your arsenal) and perhaps Plaguebearer Flesh , Snakebite & Nazdreg Yellow?
It’s just a shame New Zealand price per bottle is significantly higher than the exchange rate at $13 per bottle!

I thought $9 CDN was bad.
Especially when you dump a bottle on the couch no less.  :'( o_o :'( >:(
BUT it does a base, layer and shade in 1 so no need for three  of another...

Picked up 5 pots today, so I’ll have a play on the weekend.
