You know a project is getting out of hand when you find yourself building a miniature ropewalk as the bought rope won't drape properly...0.1mm wire made into rope.

It was only at this point you realised!!

Great looking results, though.

Give the LCT a lick of paint last night - it's not finished but it makes it feel like I've actually done something...

Still need some deck fittings and so on but need to draw and print them.  Fairleads mostly.
Also need ot add a few detailly bits to the hull like hatches and so on.  Nothnig ocmplex but will break up the big flat areas.

I didn't realise you could print such fine detail at such a small scale.

Yes, and it's tough enough but the barrel would benefit from being replaced with wire for ultimate robustness.

Note the springs around the barrel too they are 0.2mm diameter (Oviouosly supported internally).  It'll go much finer that this if needed but it gets a bit fragile.

For raised but supported surfance panels I use 0.2-0.3mm, rivets are 0.4-0.6mm anything smaller can get a bit lost.  Free unsupported panels can't be less than 0.7mm as they are too fragile, 1.0mm with a champhered edge (So they look thinner) is better.
