Those sea people and amazons look really nice. I orderd a couple of packs. Bronze Age warfare is too cool to be ignored in all its endless possibilities!

Anybody got both the Lucid Eye and Northstar sea people? I'd really like to see a comparison pic. Still waiting for the NS sea people, they shipped promptly but the mail plane must have detoured to Siberia or something, it's been posted for 30 days :-[
Thanks.

Just got my stuff from Northstar.
Look for yourself, but I think the differences are visible.
These days it's Wargods and Warhammer Armies Project I am working on !

He's been moved to the Ghost Archipelago and combined with the rank-and-file into a Drichean pack. Ditto the Sherden. 6-figure packs @ 9GBP, so same price per figure.

It's in support of the latest "Age of Bronze" supplement for Frostgrave: GA.

Thanks for posting.
Just had a look at that particular range and there are some useful bits in there for my OGAM forces.
Cheers!

Thanks Thomas. The differences in the 2 sea people are definitely visible. The NS ones are just a slightly bigger  than the norm historical range. For my tolerance levels the Lucid Eye ones are close enough to WarGods to use together,  the more fantasy look of the sculpts helps tie them together IMO.
Still think I can slide a couple of the northstar guys in the unit I'm trying to build so not a total wash.

I had to stop gaming when I noticed how short my gaming buddies were!  lol

Thanks for the comparison pic. Are the 3 middle Lucid Eye?

Crocodile games were always going to be bigger than the others. I use the Ansar and Mycenaeans with my other figures regardless.

SeaPeople in the  pic go Lucid Eye, Northstar, LE, NS. I would think the LE figs would go with the Asar even better as they are less armored than the Olympus figure in the pic.
I think overall painted and on a table they're all going to work for me. I dont take close ups of my figures so the 2 ft rule should work.
I just hope Thomas isn't disappointed in my opinion/description  of the Lucid Eye figures.

I think the same for the LE fitting to the Asar  ;)
Just for a unit of 24 the price to pay is a bit too remarkable for me I think  :(
I have to think on that...

P.S. no worries Pete I am always interested in statements positive or negative, as long as there is no ranting  ;)

Ok, well we have now some magnificent Sea People, but what about the Hebrews ?
On the 28mm market, we are very poor with Hebrew range.
Just imagine a David or a Samson with this quality sculpting....

Agreed! I like the Cutting Edge line very much, and they have excellent Hebrews, but there is no mixing them w other 28mm -ish minis. CE is my favorite ancients line, but they are slim and realistically proportioned and true 28s.

Are those the ones Warlord sells? I'm not sure if I'd count them as 28s, as the ones I received were tiny.

I'm hoping he does some Assyrian or Babylonian types that match the sea people both sizewise and stylistically, ya know just a little of the fantasy element.

I got the Lucid Eye pseudo-Meso-Americans out of their packets today and started working on them. I’ve had them for a while now.
Rather magnificent figures, but I have to say they come with a disappointing amount of flash and mould lines in difficult to get to places. A LOT of cleaning up required. Like a couple of hours on just seven figures - and there’s still some bits I can’t clean out to my satisfaction.
Annoying, for such superb sculpts and relatively pricey figures, to be so poorly cast. Although to be fair, I’ve got a lot of Lucid Eye figures now, and I haven’t had this problem with any of the others.
Hmmm...
:?

Mine were super clean. Maybe you just got a bad batch? They have so many points,. maybe the mould is wearing out already.
