Donbass

In the spirit of throwing sausages up closes, as we say in Glasgow.  I thought I would share another film I saw during a recent trip to Germany.

Donbass is set in eastern Ukraine,as that society begins to degrade from the effects of propaganda and manipulation at the onset of this ongoing conflict.  It is perhaps a black comedy I saw it with German subtitles so it was a bit to quick for me.  It certainly reminded me of Underground, by Emir Kusturica  which is set during the evisceration of the former Yugoslavia but is nether as funny nor as well shot.   I felt, from a wargaming /modelling perspective it gave a wonderful evocation of place and time.  Unlike Mosul which is a gold mine for wargamers Donbass is a film worth catching if you get a chance.
