Appropriate Ordinance for Pavia
« on: July 03, 2019, 09:51:38 AM »
My apologies for a rudimentary question, but I'm dipping into a new period and haven't quite got my bearings. I'm wondering which of the cannons from The Assault Group would be more appropriate for the battle of Pavia?

https://theassaultgroup.co.uk/product-category/renaissance/ordinance/

Should I stick to the two that are listed as "Early 16th century" or are there others on the list that would be in use by the time of Pavia?

Stick to the Early ones, the large one is a bit too plain for pavia, although is based on a picture from... 1512... if my memory serves... of Henry'VIII's dover defenses... so is actually period correct...

Early Ordinance is incredibly varied... so whatever you use will be simultaneously, fine and horribly wrong lol

Foundry made some nice ones that would be perfect... (i know i moulded them) and i bet OG have some too...
