28mm Italian Wars Papal Guard
« on: July 03, 2019, 04:30:24 PM »

https://yarkshiregamer.blogspot.com/2019/07/28mm-italian-wars-papal-guard.html

At last a new unit for the Italian Wars Project. It's been 3 months or more since I dropped some new 28s and it's been a difficult birth after the rush of #AHPC.

Of course I wasn't sure if I should post this to the "fantasy" section ;-) this of course is the more modern uniform and not that represented by Raphael. It makes a striking unit though and one instantly recognisable on the table but it's a fully informed one.

Figs by TAG and flags by Pete's.

The tree of Rovere. Must be Rex Harrison's lot. They are gonna love Charlton Heston's ceiling.

Nice work Ken, tasty.

BTW. I'm off to visit the folks at Warlord in a few weeks to talk about you know what.

Regards,
James

Cheers everyone,

I can't believe there isn't a Rex Harrison inspired 28mm Julius II figure out there. Come on Perrys stop messing about with 19th Century Intervention forces and get watching The Agony and the Ecstasy !

Or if you can get Warlord to make one that plays selected tunes from My Fair Lady when you pick it up, I'm in for the Kickstarter.

James Mrs Yarkshire wasn't that impressed when we visited the ceiling recently,"Is that it ?" will not be listed on the cherished quotes in the Vatican Brochure !
