Chinese figures for 1920s and 1930s?
« on: June 05, 2019, 02:50:24 PM »
Not my normal period of interest so can anyone point to 15 mm figures suitable for the interwar period, please?  Chinese in particular but other nations may be of use as well - also civilian figures.

Thank you.

If you're ok with peasants looking like peasants across most eras, Museum and Lancashire have Asian/Chinese civilians.  Battle Valor now carries a samurai line that also has civilians, I think some could work more generically.

I can't help for military types, other than wild guesses that maybe Old Glory or Irregular would be my first stops.

You could probably get away with Eureka's WW2 Chinese:

Bob Murch's Pulp Figures used to have an extensive line of interwar China figures, including warlord troops, "student revolutionaries", brigands and more.  Unfortunately the selection has been cut back as he is redoing the sculpts.  But there are still a few to choose from:

And of course you should look at Copplestone's venerable Back of Beyond figures!  Available from North Star:  http://www.northstarfigures.com/

My apologies, I see you are looking for 15mm.  I should have read the OP more carefully!

Irregular Miniatures has a “World War II and Chinese Civil War” range, which includes several suitable miniatures. They are advertised as covering the 1911-1931 period.
