and these might not really be historical but they might serve some purpose:

Lovely stuff,

Quite excited by the project as I can forge ahead with the Capetian Plantagenet wars from 1180-1230 (The first 100 years war).

Lots of options also for the First Barons wars and the Albigensian crusades, and possibly also crusader wars.

Cheers
Matt

I'm hoping they'll be compatible with Fireforge's plastics, as I still like my commands to be metal.

Like the look of these. I guess they are too late to use in 1170s Norman invasion of Ireland? Plus what 28mm figures would you use for the Irish? Regardless, nice figures and on my 'to buy' list!

What would the Irish look like at that time?

Footsore makes Dark Ages Irish. Would they have changed much? The elite would presumably be wearing current, or somewhat out of date English armour. But peasants are peasants.

You might also consider the Perry’s Wars of the Roses Irish or similar. That saffron shirt appears to go back quite a way:

While a couple of the figures need a head swap to lose the helmet it looks like the basic 16thC Irishman might not look out of place in the 12tC.

Antediluvian linked previously in this thread has some Irish, again of the slightly later period; the Islemen wearing basic chainmail with their helmets swapped for something older could work as nobles. Good old chainmail - covers such a long period of time. https://antediluvianminiatures.wordpress.com/2018/02/07/shop-historical-range/

I will definitely be all in on this range. There is quite a gap in the market for this period. You can’t swing a longsword without hitting crusaders, 100 year war or wotr minis. But minis for this period are few and far between.

Well said! And I concur  :)

Are you going to do most of the horses as unbarded?
