This is the last RPG 7 gunner for now. I am nearly to the end of my unpainted NVA figures. Waiting for some Vietcong and civilians to be released by Empress.

A simple Marine figure but beautifully sculpted by Paul Hicks. Was a joy to paint.

Very cool, what contrast paints do you use for your USMC?
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

commissarmoody, look at the link below. You will find a walk through painting a US Marine with Contrast colors. Hope that helps.

An AA gun of the NVA with a female gun crew . The gun model is very easy to assemble and the crew figures fit very nicely. It is a nice touch to have a female gun crew. I hope that when eventually the Viet Cong figures are done by Empress that they include many more female fighters.

Nice work, as always! They seem to be missing some crew members, though, because that HMG would be a lot for just of the two of them to carry.

There is a third one on the other side of the gun, but i think it will be still to heavy. I presume the others are just gone fetching more ammo ;)

Today I painted a US Marine LAW gunner. The figure is armed with a M16 and a LAW.

The Sikorsky H 34 chopper

I wanted to have this iconic chopper for my Vietnam war collection and so i bought the above pictured Trumpeter model in 1/48. I wanted to use the new pilot miniatures from Empress Miniatures for this model. Normally the scale 1/48 isn’t that far of and usable with 28mm figures as you can see here:

The 1/48 trumpeter model crewed with Empress Miniatures 28mm pilots.

And alongside some Empress Marines:

Many more pictures of the different build stages and the finished model here: https://wargamesgazette.com/2020/10/13/sikorsky-h-34-2/
