Well, gaming weekend was a bit of a bust. With my son home from college for the week I decided to put it off until after he takes off next weekend. So the weekend was just more terrain/painting/sculpting.

So to kick it off here are my updates for the carbonite prisoners:

Focusing on putting some greeblies on the sides now. Should be done with that tonight and then final paint on Wednesday if all goes well.

I did get another five figures primed, and should get two more sculpts based tonight. Next step is priming after that. Heads are sculpted, so I'm going to go ahead and see how they look on the bodies. *fingers crossed*

Hey, you got time to spend with you son I call that a "WIN!" Unless he came home so mom can do his laundry.

Those prisoners are looking good! Very nice work!

I fixed your response  ::) He's a good guy, but yes he basically stops doing his laundry a couple weeks before he comes home so that I'll wash and fold everything for him. Rotten. I blame his mother.  lol

Did some work on the next drop ship. Haven't thought of a name yet. I know that the back story on her is that she was a mining vessel "converted" for some nefarious purpose.

As such, I wanted to give the paint a roughed up look. So far, so good I think!

Still working on the floor texture/paint. Definitely want it to be sort of grungy and beat up as well. Crew jump seats are in the back of the ship with exits on the port and starboard.

Crew lockers and controls for the mining equipment. I think the pilot will get a wrap-around console behind the mining controls. Still working through that design in my head.

A better look at the mining console and a look out into space, since this drop ship has a larger "window" in the front.

The magnetic rails for the mining equipment are done in Turbo Dork paints. Depending on the angle you look at them from, they are anywhere from black to a pretty brilliant blue.

Did a bit of sculpting last night. Heads are on two sculpts, but I didn't get to basing them because I was distracted by building some new post apoc terrain (and I did a bit of work on my Diablo tiles too). If I can get them based at lunch today I'll probably be on track to paint tomorrow as planned.

I do like a good old-school Star Trek control panel:

Wait until you see the new helm for the second bridge. It would make Kirk quite happy!  lol

Where are you that you have been deprived of your paints and crafting supplies?

I'm out of town on an extensive trip, having medical work done nothing serious, just a nuisance, I'll be home on the 16th  of this month, so just a few more days okay a week.

Then I have to get things ready for a arts and craft show in the first week of November!

I'm glad I can repay a little of the inspiration I've taken from you  8)

Two sculpts were finalized and primed last night. Hoping to get some paint on them this evening and wrap up putting putty on two additional sculpts this evening. If time permits, I'll probably try and get a couple new wire dollies twisted up as well. Oh, and I should have the finalized version of two carbonite prisoners to show off!

Big dump of stuff. All kinda random.

Finished Carbonite prisoners:

As I work through my figure painting I tend to end up with little bits of spare paint that I feel compelled to use up in some OCD fashion. Little bits of terrain are a great way to accomplish that task. So some finished (for now) crates:

Some size comparisons:

These long and thin pieces are nice for lining up against building walls.

My take on the classic bottle cap container:

The hose loop is a bread tie wire.

Start of some decals

The second starship bridge. Mostly finished.

Tried to give it a captain's chair feel. Semi Star Trek design.

And made a little bit of progress on the larger ship engines.

Got one of my sculpts painted up last night but forgot to take pictures of it  >:( Next week, I suppose.

Wife is going to hang out with SIL and MIL this weekend, so I should have a nice chunk of playing time on Sunday. Saturday will be spent finishing up any last minute details for the next 5 Parsecs mission: Tracking the trajectory of the fallen asteroid.

Very cool build all around.
