Bolt Action Korean War?
« on: July 14, 2019, 11:01:51 PM »
I have some late war Artizan US infantry, that I’d planned a WWII force with, they’re the models with the long trench coat.

Would these be accurate to use in the Korean War?

They will work in a pinch for the winter. The multi late parkas took awhile to fully replace them later on in the conflict.

Cheers chaps.
Saves me a little money.
Plus I love the figures!

What about vehicles?
Not much change there either?
I usually use 1/50 or 1/48 scale, what’s available?

If you stick with late war kit you should be fine. Sherman's, Chaffees, Pershing etc for the U.N. and T-34/85's for the N. Koreans.

Having a quick Google looks like I’m out of luck on the Patton.
I’ll look for Chaffees at the bigger scale now.

I notice Blitzkrieg do a 1/48 Hellcat, that looks interesting.

Yup I’ll ask about the Chaffee now.

Tamiya make a 1/48 M26 Pershing as well as an M4A3E8, both used in Korea. If you want cheaper but insanely more detailed, try the Hobby Boss Sherman.
