I too like the rules. My friends & I have used them for:-
AWI, 7YW, ACW and also Indian Mutiny. Vodkafan & I plan to use them
for Jacobite rebellion. I would like to see my Alamo figures painted &
used under these rules.
I do recommend these rules to anyone who wants a fun, easy to learn, game.

I bought these rules recently and bought they were excellent when I read through them. I plan to try they with some FIW games.

Would you say they are good for...

a) games sized about 40-50 individually based figures per side, and

b) primarily irregular (Indian-Militia) warfare?

Thx

We have had some fun games using it for AWI. Once I get the Vendee rebels that are in the mail painted up, I intend to use it for that, Blues vs. Whites.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

40 to 50 individually based figures is definitely doable.
If you want to speed up the time taken to move figures
either some sabot bases (several firms make them & Oshiro
is announcing transparent ones, so no need to paint or
texture them) or some 'trays' (off cuts of MDF, thick card or perspex).
If you are not pushed for game time just use the individual figures.
