A recent game of Fistful of Lead, Tales of Horror. Two groups representing the forces of good take on an Undead Master and his minions.

Vampire Hunters Player briefing:

“Professor DeFenzles studied the telegram he had just been handed  then turned and looked at the well dressed gentleman standing next to him. “Who is it from?” enquired Captain Archibald Fellows.
“It’s from my contact at Lloyd’s of London. The ship we have been tracking from Eastern Europe is scheduled to arrive at the Limehouse wharf at 3pm, sooner than we had imagined. We had better be quick for “The Dead travel fast”.
“What do you mean?” Responded Captain Fellows”
“The Devil and his concubines must be caught and destroyed before the sun sets or he will escape us again. Quick, there is no time to lose fetch your revolver and the silver cross I gave you. We have wild work to do!”

Police Limehouse devision briefing:

“Inspector Abeline was sitting at his desk staring at his notebook when the door opened and Sergeant Godley hurried in. “Sir, we have information to suggest another shipment of Stolen cargo is being moved and delivered upriver to the Limehouse docks. We have reason to believe it’s being received by that  Northern gang “Bibbly’s Bashers” who are trying to muscle in on some of the London gangs.
”Best get going Sergeant, we’ll have to be quick to catch them. Bring your shotgun, I’ve heard they are usually armed and are not afraid to use shooters.”.....

The Dead do indeed travel fast as the Masters crate had already been taken safely from ship to shore. Would the Hunters and police arrive in time to stop the deadly cargo from disappearing into the fog ridden London night?...

Now that's what they call in broadcasting a great tease. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for more.  ;D
I was talking aloud to myself. A habit of the old: they choose the wisest person present to speak to; the long explanations needed by the young are wearying.

Professor DeFenzles and his team raced against the sunset and the crowed streets to get to the wharf, it was getting dark already...

Across town at the docks the Northern ruffians had already taken possession of the strange crate and took up defenisve positions as it was loaded upon a wagon ready for transportation to destination unknown..

Two of the ruffians move forward anticipating the arrival of the Professors men and begin firing. Panic ensues as gunfire is heard on the streets of the Capital. One of the Professors men goes down straight away, luckily there was a Dr in the group who immediately went to his aid.

On the other side of the table Inspector Abeline arrives and his men encounter a brute with a shotgun:

The fighting gets vicious, the Policemen and ruffians enter into a massive brawl around a brewers wagon with both Inspector Abeline and the Ruffians leader Big Jim Bibbly entering the fray:

On the other side of the square it comes down to close quarters fighting as well. Expert swordsman Colonel Richard Fitzerwell dispatches gang members with ease, before being shot by jack Atlantic:

The fight goes well for the Professor and Captain Fellows and they manage to force their way through the melee into the dock square

Only to be confronted by the sudden appearance of a huge swarm of rats which appear to be protecting the crate.

The rats immediately swarm towards them.

The last rays of the sun were beginning to fade.....

"Hurry Captain Fellows, we must hurry, the light is almost gone!"

To be continued..... ;)

That scummy blighter with the double barrelled shotgun blew away all three of my police brutes in two turns. But we got him in the end. Abeline did for him. The long and vengeful arm of The Law...  >:D
