Thanks everybody. Since getting back at my painting table hahave really struggled with painting eyes. Thanks so much for the advice. Back to work after a couple of weeks off but will take your excellent advice cubs.

That is indeed a great shade of blue! I think your color palette is spot on. Good advice from Cubs, I will try that as well.

Been real busy with life things recently but managed to paint two dismounted  parliamentary scouts. Bad guys spying on my loyal lads.

They are bicorne miniatures. A little bigger than the perry ecw but nice to paint. Thanks for the comment!
