Bullshott's Apocalypse - Scavenger crew
« on: July 30, 2019, 09:40:14 PM »
As a break from my main projects, I've started a new small side project. Years ago I had fun playing post-apocalyptic games with Dr De'Ath, so I've decided to get back into that setting. I'll be using the Fistful of Lead system and eagerly await the release of Wasteland Warriors later this year.

Here is my first crew: The Hellbillies

From left to right: Pa, Bo and Luke Bullshot (all Copplestone hillbilly conversions), Doc Bullshot (Reaper Bones) and Bubba (converted Ironclad Miniatures).

In a setting of limited ammunition, all figures need a hand weapon as backup. Here are the weapons I added to the Copplestone figures:

Great work on that denim.
Mac

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway

The combination of inbreeding and post-apocalypse genetic mutation has had more noticable effects on some branches of the Bullshot clan. In one branch this has resulted in weak constitution, low intelligence and poor eyesight. However, although attributes are not helpful when it comes to shooting, cousins Abe, Jed and Zeke are perfectly capable of wielding close combat weapons.

These are Reaper zombie miners, which work well with the Copplestone figures forming core of my Hellbillies. Within the Fistful of Lead Galactic Heroes rules these will be classed as axe-armed Grunts with the Brute trait.

The whole clan so far:

I'll be adding a few more figures at some point to give me options on the weapons and traits mix in this crew.

Next up will be some items of scatter terrain and a group of scavengers.

While I'm working on a new terrain piece for this setting, here are a couple of reworked items: a sign for Sandport (my game setting) and a thief who wasn't quite fast enough :o
