From the first picture, I was sure the women were holding pizzas.

They all look very nice.

Yeah, when I got them they looked a lot more like pizzas. I stripped them as best I could but whatever the previous owner used resisted my usual disinfectant in a sonic bath as well as a  few weeks in a jar of white spirits. I struggled to come up with a way to paint the food to break the pizza image. I tried to go for couscous with plums on one and mixed fruit on the other.

Thanks for the compliments, I know that my painting is not amazing like so many of the artists on here but I hope that I am slowly improving and can inspire other folks of similar skill levels to keep working at it.

Also, having feedback on something like this forum helps motivate me to keep working to get the next piece done since I do not have the benefit of a gaming group to do so. My wife is a great audience but I think she may be a little biased.

I got the stitches out of my hand yesterday and it looks like we will get to go to Crisis on Saturday, it will be her first and my second. We will see if she gets as awestruck as I was last year. We‘ve had a bit of a morale drop of late thanks to the delay of the Hagglethorn Hollow Kickstarter But going to Spiel got her enthusiastic enough to start painting a Ranger of Ithilien.

Nice additions and not a bad haul (sorry to hear it wasn't as friendly as it could have been).

Cheers mate. I wish my wife had found the crowd a bit more friendly but at least they did not make her want to quit the hobby. Quite pleased with the haul now I just need to find more painting time!

I think re-worked they look good as Orcs. The last one (in your blog post) could be a captain of some sort.
