Where do the stairs go?
They go up.
 lol
Sorry couldn't resist.
That's one cute thunderbox would make a great treasure marker with suitable hazards involved should anyone be foolish enough to open the door. Or perhaps a disguised entrance to a under ground lair...
Great thread

There is a surprise behind the outhouse...

Thanks for the kind words by the way!

Von Lucky, I find it difficult to get people to engage both here and on my blog. I have tried to get people to engage on numerous occasions by asking questions. My thread about house rules questions had over 80 views over a few days before anyone replied. Granted, the conversation picked up after the first person replied but it was still a bit disappointing. I realize this forum may not be the best one for addressing SBG issues though, especially since I am late to the party and asking what many may consider old questions.

Another blog update.... finished some more little terrain bits, some Isengard Uruk-hai and a warrior of Rohan conversion from a Gripping Beast Late Roman.

You can't go wrong with making scatter terrain, it can really make a table 'come to life'.

Thanks for the kind words.

I do love scatter terrain with character. It is fun exploring what I can make with the random bits I win auctions.

The Uruks look great! I love regimented infantry, it always looks impressive.

I hope that Rohan lad has some mates to back him up with those pikemen headed his way!

Fair enough - but remember you're not really asking anyone in particular, so it will take a little longer to have someone come along and have an answer/opinion. Don't despair.

Plenty of Rohan mates... something like 100 infantry and 25 cavalry already finished. Some reworks in today’s blog entry.

And some elves...

And Arnie the Dunlending Barbarian...

They are looking fab! You've nailed the eyes on those elves and the group shot is mighty impressive!

It is immensely gratifying when someone mentions they like the thread. Feedback, suggestions and advice is always welcome. Questions I put on the blog can be happily answered here if it helps get people involved. I know I rather discuss things on a forum than a blog.

Some more things finished, scatter terrain and some Dryads. Normally I would add some foliage to the Dryads but my wife did not want foliage on this lot. Not yet anyway, she may change her mind.

One of my questions to folks would be.... grass on the sides of scatter terrain bases, yes or no?

Looking good.

And yes to grass on the side - as other scatter terrain aims to blend in with the table and (usually) doesn't move liek miniatures do.
